The School
Lessons
Learning English can be challenging but at Seafield School of English we know how to help students make good progress with their English. Our classes are kept small, averaging 9 students in size (maximum class size, 12) and our teachers are well-qualified and experienced. In addition, we offer free one-to-one after class tutorials to every student.
Our courses include General English, full-time and part-time, and preparation for the IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge FCE, CAE and CPE examinations.
Afternoon class options on our General English full-time course include Communication in English and TOEIC preparation.
Course options, lesson times and fees are detailed on our Courses and Fees page.
On a student's first day at the school, they are given an assessment test and interview, and then placed in classes according to their English ability.
In the morning classes, students study grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, as well as listening and speaking, using our modern textbooks. In the afternoon classes, there is more emphasis on the specific skills of speaking and listening in the context of everyday communication.
Our teachers use a variety of modern teaching techniques, including pair work, small groups, role-play, discussions, debates and computer assisted language learning (CALL). Our classes are lively and fast-paced, and encourage enjoyment in learning!
Students are given a thorough orientation, in their own language, on their first day at Seafield. Our school's office team is happy to help students with matters such as accommodation arrangements, activity bookings, visas, bus timetables, bank accounts and public library membership.
Thousands of students from around the world have benefited from courses at Seafield School of English. The school enjoys an international reputation for integrity, quality education and a great learning environment.
